The fun-loving spirit of the south-west
An exceptional heritage, an abundance of culture and a joyful temperament :
this is the subtle cocktail of art de vivre (‘art of living’) and heritage that exists
in this beautiful southern city. Gastronomy occupies an important place in the
Occitania region ; proof of this lies in the great variety of regional products that
can be found on restaurant menus or at market stalls. Gorge yourself on cheeses
from the Pyrenees, cured meats from the region, labelled meats, and, above
all, magnificent sun-kissed fruit and veg that is grown locally in the most natural
way possible. Top it all off with a tour of a wine cellar led by a caviste (literally a
‘cellarman’), to sample the region’s best tipples.

A visit in the open air
The pink city offers a plethora of walking tours (either self-led or guided) that
allow you to see the most charming aspects of the city. To combine cultural
discoveries and new experiences, the open-top minibus is something you
simply have to try! On either side of the vehicle, Toulouse reveals itself on
each new street, showing off the heritage passed down to it by 2000 years
of history. The capital of the Visigoths, the site of the crusade against the
Carthaginians, a lover of literature and the arts, a major centre in the trade
of woad and a pioneer in the conquest of the skies and of space, it’s a city
full of wonders!
