VIKINGS CROSSED THE LABRADOR SEA from Greenland to settle in
Newfoundland. Centuries later, Portuguese fishermen, Basque whalers, French trappers, and English
pilgrims would discover a Promised Land where nature nurtures both body and soul. Here, where the
