Five views you won’t want to miss
Stare wide-eyed at the incredible view of Geirangerfjord as you
hike Blåhornet mountain. On the Special Forces Adventure in
Hellesylt, you’ll tackle a five-hour hike over the mountain with epic
views as your reward.
If hiking isn’t your cup of tea, join a trip to Flydal Gorge viewpoint
for magnificent views over Geiranger and the shimmering waters
of the fjord. At almost 5,000 feet above sea level, you’ll have a
jaw-dropping 360-degree view.
Goðafoss waterfall is one of Iceland’s largest waterfalls and
nicknamed ‘the waterfall of the Gods’. Once you cast your eyes
upon the heavenly views, you’ll understand why. The crashing
falls make it a must-see spot when exploring Iceland. You can
visit Goðafoss on a tour from Akureyri.
Standing before the magnificent Briksdal Glacier may make us
feel more in tune with the universe. For an even more magically
meditative experience, all abilities may choose to join a gentle
yoga session in the peaceful Blue Mountain Hall.
How about taking the sightseeing to new heights with a helicopter
ride over Stavanger and Lysefjord? It’s usually one of the least
accessible fjords in the region, but not for you! You’ll soar over
sharply climbing cliffs, tiny isolated mountaintop farms and the
wild fjord. Plus the distinctive form of Pulpit Rock (an incredible
viewpoint in itself) looks even more spectacular from above.
