A letter from the President

Oh, what a journey it’s been. Twenty years ago, when our founders were sitting around a
table with the wild idea to start a cuisine-focused cruise line, they never could have imagined
what Oceania Cruises would become. But look at us now. We’re more than twenty years older,
but still young and fresh. We’ve seen trends — and even some cruise lines — come and go, but
we’re still here and still going strong. Even most of our chefs and many of our other staff are
still with us after all this time. To me, that’s a testament to what we’re all about. We’re about
family, about sharing and giving, and about encouraging the living of life to the fullest.

Going back to those early days, we were pioneers in this industry — foodies before the
concept of a foodie really took off — and adventure seekers who really honed in on the
concept of destination-intensive cruising. We wanted to foster curiosity among our guests
and had the novel idea to do it through immersion in destinations — and through food.
Because what better way to learn about a culture than through food? Our risky bet paid

off, and here we are today, living up to our slogan of The Finest Cuisine at Sea . But we couldn’t
have embarked on this journey without you. You, our beloved guests, are why we
do what we do. You give us hope for the future and a reason to keep going. Keep exploring.
Keep questioning. Keep wandering. Endless curiosity will continue to drive us forward.
And it will be Oceania Cruises’ legacy. I’m excited about the future. I know it’ll be a
journey worth savouring.
